My Truth on Why Many Women Compete with Each Other!

The other day I had an experience in my new Zumba class I enjoy and am really grateful the instructor allows me to share my love of music and dance with the class even more by leading 1-2 songs many times during class. In case you don’t know I’m a former Zumba instructor.

A new student told me the other day after I was done leading a song that I was great and to look out for the girl next to me because she is my competition…I thought what the hell, just because she dances well, she’s now my competition…..really why can’t we both shine???

I see women competing against each other in the entrepreneurial world, relationships, and so on. I’ve had my own painful experiences with other women seeing me as their competition and doing and saying things to me….It needs to stop!!!!

I felt unease about this and really took time to think about where this competition among us women comes from. I believe we need to get to the root cause of any issue in order to resolve and heal it once and for all.

What I realized is something I know many may not agree with especially in my industry. So I chose to have the courage to do a livestream on Facebook a few weeks ago about it.

I spoke my truth on some of the root causes why many women feel the need to compete with each other. I know many in my industry may not agree with me and I must admit I thought about sharing this for a few days before I did because I allowed fear of judgement and stepping on some toes to keep me quiet.

Not anymore, I chose to be vulnerable and speak up. Be you and share it with the world! 💃🏽😊

Enjoy my vulnerable livestream on this important and sensitive topic below and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

If you find it helpful, please share it as I would appreciate your help in stopping this competition among many of us women and for us to empower one another instead. Remember sharing is caring, thank you!

With love and light 🙂
