There Is More Right With You Than Wrong With You

Yes, if you are reading this then it means you’re breathing and it already means you have more right than wrong with you.

Last week I had been feeling really tired, stressed, anxious, and to be honest I felt like I was being pushed and shoved….not sure if it was the lunar eclipse, it appears that’s how it impacted some of us. So this past weekend I really didn’t feel like going out so I just decided to stay home and rest for the most part because that’s exactly what my body and soul was asking for. And Sunday I took it a step further and decided to not go on social media until much later for a few minutes and only to work. I needed to turn off the noise from the world and just be with myself.

I chose to watch Super Soul Sunday and Oprah Winfrey’s guest was author and Mindfulness teacher, Jon Kabat-Zinn and while I hesitated at first, something drew me to really sit down and watch the show. It was really enlightening and this quote truly resonated with me and I couldn’t wait to share it with you because I know you may want to hear this as well: “As long as you are breathing there is more right with you than wrong with you, no matter what is wrong.”

I loved it and it really made me think that there is really nothing wrong with me. I know that when life happens like you’re going through a break up, you miss the person you love, you’re hurt, upset, angry, feel betrayed, it hurts and you may feel like it’s the end of the world. Or you could be thinking what is wrong with me, why am I feeling this way? I get you, I’ve been there and at times I find myself there over different things going on in my life. Maybe for you, it is losing a job or hating what you do or being upset over some choices you’ve made or not made. I can go on and on….

I want you to get there really is nothing wrong with you, actually you have more going right for you, and here’s why:

  1. You are alive
  2. You can do things that bring you joy
  3. You can make a difference for others
  4. You can be happy
  5. You can love again
  6. You can allow others to hold space for you in your healing journey
  7. You can dance and sing
  8. You can forgive
  9. You can smile
  10. You can make new friends
  11. You can find work that lights you up
  12. you can inspire and empower others

Tweetable:[tweetable] There are endless possibilities available to you.[/tweetable]It’s a matter of you choosing to see them in your life no matter what is going on.

Yes, it is totally fine to cry, scream, sleep, stay in bed if you need to. These are normal and all part of the healing process but just don’t stay there for too long. 🙂

I’d love to hear what came up for you when you read this. I know I listed a few things, maybe some resonated with you and others didn’t. I’d love to know and am inviting you to make of list of what came up for you during or after you read this.
