Manushkka SainvilEpisode 18: “There came a time when the risk to remain a tight bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anais Nin.  Soulful Conversation with Manushkka Sainvil

Manushkka Sainvil is an entrepreneur in the natural hair space. She created a natural hair butter that delivers the hydration our hair needs, while also educating clients on natural hair care. She uses this platform to educate and empower her clients so they can embrace their natural curls, kinks and locs.

One of her favorite books is “The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell. In it he identifies 3 types of people: Connectors, Mavens and Salespeople and she says without a doubt she is a connector. She uses this skill to connect her customers with the information they need to have a successful hair journey, whether it’s connecting them to a product, website or blogger. It’s important for her to add value through this kind of information.

During our conversation Manushkka and I discussed how her journey to creating her own hair butter through her passion of mixing ingredients and finding the perfect product for her own hair led her to  having the courage to become an entrepreneur by starting a business that allows her to sell her product to other women. We also discussed how the hair journey also involves self-acceptance.

She shares tips on stepping out of your comfort zone, following your passion, and turning your passion into your purpose, and self-acceptance as a black woman who chooses to embrace her natural curls.

Both of us really enjoyed this conversation and we’re hoping it will inspire many women to follow their passions, turn their passions into a purpose, step out of their comfort zone, and really embrace themselves as they are.
