Sharing a message I recorded yesterday for those of us who are becoming aware or was already aware of the trauma in our bodies that is being triggered by witnessing what’s happening in Palestine. This is an impact of oppressive systems like colonialism and imperialism. We need to tend to this as we continue to post, share, protest, boycott, and call for a permanent ceasefire and the end of the occupation.

As I said in the video, we must use the language they understand.

Like Me, Many of Us Are Being Triggered & Re-traumatized

After 2 months of witnessing what’s happening in Palestine, sharing, speaking up, taking action doing my part to end the genocide; I realized I had lost my joy.

I had allowed these oppressive systems to take away my joy.

I’m reclaiming my joy and I’ve inviting you to do the same if what I shared resonates.

Letting Go Of Self-Judgement And Embracing Our Needs

The past few weeks I’ve been thinking about privilege; my own privileges and how many of us get offended, feel triggered, aren’t comfortable with being called privileged, feel ashamed and/or guilty about their privilege, and don’t own their privileges.

As one who has many privileges and am still learning about some other privileges I have, I believe privilege comes with responsibility.

I believe that we need to be aware, own, let release any shame and guilt we carry, and use our privilege on humanity’s behalf.

I recorded a few of my thoughts today to share with you.

Privilege Comes With Responsibility

Recorded some thoughts during my walk tonight on the fact that in the current season of my life I’m really learning and practicing being okay with not being available for some people I love and care about because I don’t have the capacity/bandwidth for it.

I struggled with this in the past and I feel this season of my life is calling on me to really take this on.

Embrace, Experience, and Create Pockets of Joy

“Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be.”

As we started a new week sharing a message inspired Danielle LaPorte’s quote that calls in us to reflect on whether or not we know who we were before society, our family, friends, and others told us who to be.

I also think it’s can be used to go further and reflect on whether or not we are living a life that is true to us. I get vulnerable and share about something I’m currently exploring in my business.
